LA RECEPTION DES TIC CHEZ LES TRAVAILLEURS ARTISANS MINIERS

              Cet article se propose de montrer comment les métiers de la mine  artisanale à travers une analyse de la répartition socio-démographique  des activités qui la structurent, apparaissent moins phallocrates comme le renvoie à priori l’imagerie populaire liée auxdits métiers. Les rôles des femmes et des enfants de révèlent prégnants, en dépit des conditions de travail, d’hygiène, de sécurité et de vie qui restent à améliorer. Nous essayons également de saisir les capacités cognitives des artisans miniers dont le travail au quotidien est essentiellement manuel, à travers l’organisation coutumière de leurs activités dans certains pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest, leur structuration institutionnelle et leurs rapports aux outils de communication comme le téléphone portable et Internet. Les stratégies d’accès à ces Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication, leurs usages actuels, désirés, ainsi que leurs représentations au niveau des artisans miniers, nous révèlent une autre facette de ces travailleurs très souvent considérés comme analphabètes des taches intellectuelles.

              This article is proposed to show the mining trades through an analysis of socio-demographic distribution of activities which structure, appear less phallocrates as reflecting popular imagery related to these same trades. The roles of the women and the children appear pregnant, in spite of the working conditions, hygiene, security, and life which remain to be improved. We also try to seize the cognitive capacities of the mining craftsmen, whose work is essentially manual, through the traditional organization of their activities in certain West African countries, the formal or institutional shape of mining activities in Cameroon and the ways mining artisanal workers inter act with communication tools like mobile phone and Internet. The strategies of access to these Information and Communication Technologies, their current uses, desires, as well as their representations on the level of mining craftsmen reveal another face of these miners who are more often considered as illiterates of intellectual tasks.
