Abstract

Knowledge about the parameters of primary moult of larks (Aladidae) is minimal. This paper presents preliminary results for four species: Large-billed Lark Galerida magnirostris, Spike-heeled Lark Chersomanes albofasciata, Grey-backed Sparrow-lark Eremopterix verticalis and Red-capped Lark Calandrella cinerea. The results are based on small samples and should not be treated as definitive. The purpose of the paper is to encourage collaboration so that gaps in knowledge can be filled.
