La présente étude qui porte sur les logiques d’action des journalistes camerounais convoque l’analyse compréhensive wébérienne et questionne le paradigme de la (re)présentation de soi, tel que développé par Irving GOFFMANN, et qui met en lumière la production, par les acteurs en situation de déficit de considération, des mythes comme catharsis ou thérapie au mal être professionnel qu’ils vivent. Ainsi, les journalistes, confrontés à une condition confinant au désenchantement, élaborent-ils un discours empreint de fiction et donc  en porte-à-faux avec la  réalité vécue, dans l’optique de légitimer le choix et  l’amour d’un métier en définitive peu valorisant.

                                                                       ABSTRACT

This study which focuses on the logical determinants of Cameroonian journalists, is based on the comprehensive analysis theory proposed by Weber and questions the self (re)presentation paradigm, as developed by Irving GOFFMAN, and which highlights the production by actors in a situation where they have little consideration, myths as catharsis or therapy to the unsatisfactory professional life they live. This, faced with a condition that forces to disillusionment, they develop a discourse marked by fiction and which is therefore out of step with the daily reality; the aim of which is to legitimize the choice and the love of a job which, in the final analysis, is unrewarding.
