Use of Generative AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Statement

The journal recognises that artificial intelligence (AI) tools are increasingly used in academic research and writing. The following policy outlines acceptable use of generative AI technologies in the preparation of manuscripts submitted to the journal.

When submitting their manuscript, authors should not list AI tools as a co-author, as AI tools cannot assume responsibility for authorship.

Authors may use AI technologies as research tools in the preparation of their manuscripts (for example, to assist with data analysis or the creation of images). Any such use of AI technologies should be clearly described in the methods section of the manuscript in the interest of transparency, reliability, and research integrity.

Authors should not use AI tools to write their manuscripts. However, AI tools may be used to help improve the language and readability of a manuscript. If AI tools are used for this purpose, authors should disclose this use in the manuscript to maintain transparency and academic integrity.
